a 'just in general' blog

It's been awhile since I've actually *blogged*, so here goes. (this is cross-blogged at my myspace as well)

First of all, Catherine is keeping me SO busy. It's a happy busy though. I have decided that "Loah" is the single sweetest sound in the world. She says it a lot :) Anissa said she was looking for me last weekend--running from one end of the house to the other saying "Loah! Loah!"

Funny Catherine story: we went to Lifeway the other day. You know how the categories of books are set up, right? "Singles", "Women" on on shelf facing the "Family" shelf (and on the other side is "marriage" and somewhere around there is "men"). Anissa had asked me to look for a certain book for them, so I was in the "Family" section doing so. Catherine was beside me walking around. She went to the "Singles" section, picked up a book and brought it to me. I giggled at the irony and put it back. A few minutes later...same thing. This happened about 5 times--always the same book. How sad is it that the child I nanny for thinks I need help in this area?!
(on the other hand, perhaps I should go back and buy that book. Perhaps the little one knows something )

Moving on past Catherine--I experienced Closet Trauma this weekend. Apparently in my recovery I have gained a lot of weight and none of my clothes from last year at this time look or feel right. Sunday morning was horrid. There are still pieces that I threw across the room in the exact spot they landed. Argh. It did call for an emergency shopping trip for new clothes though--and though I'm not completely thrilled with the sizes on the labels they DO look good. And I'm trying to decide that I do too.

Last, for all you out there who have called or emailed me and not received a response...I am truly sorry. I was experiencing what some of us at church call "After-Zoe Week" last week. Zoe is SUCH a high that we all go into a funk of sorts the following week...and I just didn't have the energy to do much. I'm much better this week though...and eventually I'll get around to contacting you!
