on the right track

i'm down the 2 pounds that i gained back last week
(oops)
but yay...
and today i went for a walk/jog
(walked the whole way one direction, ran all the way back)
and went to trader joe's
(swoon)
where i spent lots of money on amazing produce
veggies (which i love)
fruits (which i'm learning to love)

small steps toward the right direction
attempting to use only the best, freshest ingredients when i cook
(except for pasta...because once in awhile that's just necessary)

what have you done lately to make you a healthier you?

Hi Lora,
I found your site through your comment on another blog.
As I read about Greek food (feta etc)
I thought to visit you!
Have a great day!!

hurrah for a healthier you!! :)

i wish i was as adventurous in the kitchen as you. as it stands, i'm just trying to work through the processed food at the house and replace it with healthier stuff.

i bought brown rice instead of white for the first time this month!

Good for you! I'm learning to make the right choice one decision at a time. Recently I realized that I must stop eating out as much as I do...it's just wasteful and laziness in this stressful time. It took all the self-control I had yesterday to not to stop by Sonic on the way home from work when I was starving...but I did it.

Lora, I love the new look around here!
And I'm sorry to say I've been sick for almost a week so I haven't done anything to be healthy:(

I love Trader Joe's but do not love the effect it has on my pocket book.

Small steps are the easiest to take and they usually last the longest! Good luck!

Found you through WOW!

Don't worry about the little ups and downs, it's all a part of the process. I really wish we had Trader Joes up here. It looks like such a fun place to shop :-)
