it's a great day to be the awesomest cook ;-)

the kids have gone CRAZY over the food i've made.  from creating my own turkey burger recipe on the fly for thursday night's dinner, to packing lunches with little smiley face notes for the kids to making a killer pasta sauce last night.  this morning they requested butterscotch pancakes and those came out pretty incredibly too!

last night the middle child said "this pasta is SO good.  WAY better than my mom's pasta."

i think i shall refrain from telling the parents *that* little tidbit when they get back later today.

however, i may mention that the youngest was outvoted for breakfast.  he wanted...the leftover pasta.
