thursday's ten (on black friday): the giveaway

i mentioned earlier that I had a giveaway for today.
sorry i've been black friday shopping and am just now posting!

here are ten things about this giveaway.

1.  back in september...ish i signed up with myblogspark to do this
2.  i heard back fairly quickly and received my package...about a week before the wedding
3.  needless to say, the package sat opened but otherwise untouched for quite awhile
4.  the package contained one fun red apron with the betty crocker logo on it, one wilton 9x9 square pan with a lid, one red spatula/stirrer thing, and of course the milk chocolate brownie mix.

5.  on friday, anthony had a guys night with a good friend to play a new video game
6.  brownies were requested.  out came the kit.

7.  it was rather late at night, which should somewhat explain the photos you're seeing. (i reaaaalllly liked the spatula stir thingy)

8.  the verdict on the brownies was that they were your average brownie...except much more moist than your average brownie.  so while the flavor was great it wasn't knock-your-socks-off...but the moisture was amazing.

9.  i kind of can't wait to grab another box of these and attempt making my baileys brownies with them...
10.  YOU can get an identical package to the one i received.  simply post a comment to this post.  if you want to tweet about it, just tag me in the tweet (@itslorab) and i'll make sure you get an extra entry!

make sure you are contactable, either by email attached to your blog or put your email in your comment.  winner will be drawn december 1.

now, if you'll excuse me...i'm going to go eat a couple of brownies.  :-)

*product, information, and giveaway were provided by Betty Crocker through MyBlogSpark

hey, it's ok (tuesday) .7

(visit amber for the original)
hey, it's ok

... to have a big.huge.box of those fla・vor・ice popsicles in your freezer just for yourself
... to never have ANY desire ever to watch shows like jersey shore or the bachelor or any "real housewives of blahblah". HOW is that remotely appealing?!
... to get excited about date nights :-)
... to think that sweet tea is quite possibly the best.beverage.ever.  (except water, of course)
... to dislike the musical guests of 90% of the shows you watch.
... to stay in your pj's on a day off (at least until you go out!)
... to dread taking down the Christmas tree (yes, it's still up.  and that's ok too.  ;)

Sweetness

Last week I didn't spend much time at the office.
(I'm temporarily there, and they're very flexible with me taking other jobs)
I spent a lot of time with this sweetheart. She was sick and couldn't go to her school. Bummer...

I would never post pictures that are recognizable of any child I babysit, so please forgive the slight glimpses.
E has such a great personality, at her tender age of 5 months.
She didn't feel good at all, but she remained upbeat and cheerful for the most part.
She was content to sleep holding my finger in her teeny hand

and when I finally put her down on her boppy right next to me, she could only sleep touching me. If that hand moved off my leg she'd fuss. SO cute.
Methinks this isn't helping my baby fever any...

I've been busy...

Had a few ribbon necklace orders to fill
(you can find more at my etsy shop)
Some wine to deliver

A present or ten to wrap

Moments to spend with friends

Some gelato to indulge in
A baby to snuggle

An impromptu photo shoot to capture

A kiss to steal

And a whole lot of living to do.

And you?

Bad Haiku Friday

Sneezes by the fire
Snot bubbles drip from your nose
Forget Yuletide songs

White mint gelato
Might as well apply to hips
Heaven in a spoon

Uploading pictures all day
Addiction: worsens

Weekend Wordle and Six Words

Shannon is hosting weekend wordles as usual--here's mine for this week:

I found white fudge oreos already!

They are to the winter season what pumpkin delights are to fall.
Beautiful.
As long as I don't find the 5 pounds that I've lost lately because I've found them...we're doing good.
